2020 Brut Rosé

£39.50

Winner of the Independent English Wine Awards 2024 trophy for top sparkling wine in competition and the WineGB Awards 2024 trophy for top sparkling rosé.

This is our second release of sparkling rosé.  Pressed, fermented, and bottled at Offbeat Wines by Daniel Ham, our winemaker.  The grapes were hand-harvested and a whole bunch pressed. The wine underwent secondary fermentation in the bottle and then spent 18 months on its yeast lees and a further 6 months ‘on cork’. Released June 2023. This is a 100% pinot-based rosé — a departure from our first which contained a blend of chardonnay and pinot.

Please: orders are limited to 2 bottles per customer due to high demand and low stock.

Tasting notes

“It’s a brilliant wine that goes well beyond your lightly fruity stereotypical image of a sparkling rosé. The nose immediately exudes complexity, with toasted sourdough, flaky pastry and super pronounced red fruit. The palate delivers even more – it’s packed full of pure and punchy red berries up-front. There are lots of raspberry and cranberry flavours, a layer of creamy richness, a hint of orange zest and salted pretzel on the finish. A rosé with true character, this is already one of my favourites of the year.” John Mobbs, Great British Wine and IEWA judge

Pale coral in colour with a consistent stream of fine bubbles, our rosé has a well-developed character on the nose with notes of orange blossom. It offers aromas of rich summer red fruits and pomegranate together with acacia honey on the palate. It will continue to develop further complexity with bottle age.
